A Final Emberforged is the concluding quest in the Saurian Companion World quest chain in the Genshin Impact 5.5 update. This quest wraps up the Saurian Companion story that began in Natlan and features a boss fight against the Primeval Source Dragon Mech, along with significant lore about Kukulkan, the sage of the stolen flame. Players need specific items from previous quests to proceed, which can be confusing. Here’s a complete guide on how to unlock and complete the A Final Emberforged quest.
How to Unlock A Final Emberforged Quest
The A Final Emberforged quest in the Atcopan region of Natlan unlocks after completing the following quests:
- The Way Into the Mountain
- Path to the Flaming Peaks
- Chronicler of the Crumbling City
Once you finish the Chronicler of the Crumbling City quest, you’ll be in the Heart of the Sacred Mountain area of the Great Volcano of Tollan. We have separate guides for these quests if you need assistance.
Part 1: How to Get Golden Entreaties
After completing the Chronicler of the Crumbling City, you’ll need to offer two Golden Entreaties at the altar in the Heart of the Sacred Mountain. You can obtain Golden Entreaties by completing:
- Revelations from the Past World Quest
- Lost Traveler in the Ashen Realm Quest
Each of these quests rewards one Golden Entreaty, and their storylines are directly connected to A Final Emberforged. Complete these two quests and submit the Golden Entreaties to begin the Primeval Source Dragon Mech boss fight.
Part 2: Fight Primeval Source Dragon Mech
Once you submit the Golden Entreaties, you’ll enter the Primeval Source Dragon Mech boss arena. This fight can only be undertaken as the Pyro Traveler, and other characters cannot be used. Here’s how to defeat the boss:
- Attack the Mech’s hands when they are on the ground.
- Use Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst for increased damage.
- Dodge when the Mech slams its hands and sprint when it shoots lasers.
After reducing the Mech’s shield by 70%, it will launch an unstoppable attack, trapping you in a prism. The perspective will shift to your Saurian Companion.
Part 3: Consult the Sage of the Stolen Flame.
The Sage of the Stolen Flame, Kukulkan, will reveal himself to your Saurian Companion. He explains that he intended to bring the Companion here so they could choose to side with the dragons. After sharing significant lore, he asks your Saurian Companion to activate the Huitzilopochtli to trigger the Sweeping Skyfire.
Choose to deactivate the Sweeping Skyfire to progress the story. You’ll then need to escape the area and return to the Traveler.
Note:
You can choose to activate the Huitzilopochtli, which will unlock a secret cutscene of the aftermath. After the cutscene ends, you’ll return to the point before your confirmation, and this looping will continue until you deactivate the Sweeping Skyfire to progress the quest.
Walk along the paths and attack any ‘messages’ that obstruct your way until you reach the caged Traveler. Hit the prism cage to free them.
Defeat Primeval Source Dragon Mech Boss in Genshin Impact 5.5
You will then need to fight the Primeval Source Dragon Mech boss again, but this time, you must defeat it. The mechanics are the same as before, but now you can block the Mech’s attacks.
When the Primeval Source Dragon Mech prepares for a major attack, use the Saurian Indwelling button to summon your Saurian Companion for assistance.
Continue this strategy until you defeat the Primeval Source Dragon Mech boss. Your Saurian Companion will thank you and return to normal, completing the A Final Emberforged quest in Genshin Impact.
