You can easily turn a selfie or any picture into AI art by attaching it and asking the chatbot to convert it. The AI art generated is of top quality and is produced in just a few seconds. Using DALL-E 3 in ChatGPT is incredibly easy and is one of the coolest features of the chatbot.
Become a Pro Designer
One of the best ChatGPT plugins is the Canva plugin, which offers a range of creative options. To use the ChatGPT Canva plugin, simply type a request like “design a smartphone giveaway Instagram story for AzmoTech” or “create a logo for a tech YouTube channel.” The plugin will then generate prompt-appropriate templates for you to use. You can easily click on a template and edit it on Canva without needing an account, which is fantastic.
You can use ChatGPT to learn a new language easily. While the free ChatGPT 3.5 can handle basic tasks, for a clearer and more in-depth analysis, the Speak plugin with ChatGPT Plus is recommended.
Learn a New Language
The Speak plugin offers various tone variations of a phrase, along with practical, everyday examples of its usage. It also provides guidance on correct pronunciation, as shown in the screenshot below.
While Duolingo and similar platforms exist, they lack integration with ChatGPT and don’t offer the same level of detailed phrase learning. This makes the ChatGPT plugin a standout choice as a fun and effective language tutor.
Extract Data from Links
ChatGPT has always been able to extract data from texts, but with the LinkReader plugin, it can now extract, analyze, and summarize data from any link, whether it’s a webpage, PDF, image, or any other type of link. This plugin makes data extraction effortless, as shown in the screenshot below where ChatGPT compiles data from a Counterpoint research report. Quite impressive!
Improve Knowledge Base
One of ChatGPT’s strengths lies in its integration with plugins, and another powerful plugin is Wolfram. With Wolfram, you can solve complex math problems, learn about biology, and even explore a Pokemon’s evolution chart. Visit Wolfram’s official website to discover the full range of capabilities it brings to ChatGPT. It makes me wish I had it during my school days; learning would have been much more enjoyable!
Use ChatGPT as a Linux Terminal
One of the most exciting capabilities of OpenAI ChatGPT is its ability to mimic a fully functional Linux terminal. You can use Linux commands, create files and directories, and even write and compile code within the terminal. If you wish, you can also execute the code directly from the terminal.
Write and Debug Code
Did you know that you can also use ChatGPT in a Linux terminal? Whether you’re a seasoned programmer or just starting out, ChatGPT can be incredibly useful. You can ask the AI chatbot to write code for you, specifying the programming language you want to use.
For example, I asked ChatGPT to write Python code for a terminal-based game of tic-tac-toe. I saved the code as a Python file, executed it in the terminal, and it worked perfectly.
Furthermore, ChatGPT can assist in debugging your code and identifying vulnerabilities. When asked to check code for bugs, ChatGPT not only identifies the issues but also explains them and provides examples of potential fixes.
Play Games with ChatGPT
While playing Tic-Tac-Toe in a Linux Terminal with ChatGPT is entertaining, it’s just the beginning. You can enjoy numerous other engaging games with ChatGPT. For instance, you can role-play and pitch ideas in a “Shark Tank” scenario. Additionally, you can quiz ChatGPT, turning the process of acquiring knowledge into a game.
Explain Things
ChatGPT is a valuable tool for learning. You can ask it to explain complex topics, like the IPv6 header, and it will provide a detailed explanation.
Explain Like I am 5
If you’re studying a more challenging subject, you can ask ChatGPT to explain concepts in simpler terms by adding “explain like I’m 5” to your query. For example, I asked it to explain wormholes in this way.
Explain in a Particular Style
Additionally, if you’re looking to have some fun, you can ask ChatGPT to explain things in a specific style. For instance, you can request an explanation of the HTTPS stack in the style of a cowboy from old westerns, resulting in some amusing responses.
Use ChatGPT to Write Music
This feature is particularly useful for me. I enjoy writing and composing songs, and ChatGPT makes it incredibly easy. You can ask the chatbot to write a song on any topic, and it will quickly generate a decent song. Additionally, you can even request accompanying chords for the music.
Become a Recipe Developer
For instance, imagine you’re preparing to cook a delicious dinner but realize you’re short on ingredients. In such a situation, you can ask ChatGPT to suggest a recipe based on the ingredients you have.
ChatGPT will then provide several recipes to try with those ingredients. This feature helps you discover new recipes and become a more efficient cook, which is quite cool. An example is shown in the screenshot below.
Grade Essays
ChatGPT is not only beneficial for students but also for teachers. It simplifies essay grading and provides feedback on the grades assigned. For instance, if you ask ChatGPT to grade an essay alphabetically and it gives it an “A-,” it will explain why the essay received that grade. Furthermore, you can request suggestions for improvements, and ChatGPT will provide a detailed analysis.

While the free ChatGPT 3.5 version has its limits, upgrading to ChatGPT Plus gives you access to the more advanced ChatGPT 4.0 and these engaging plugins.
