During the Adobe MAX 2025 event, Adobe revealed its latest collaboration with YouTube, bringing Premiere Mobile editing directly into the YouTube Shorts interface. This new integration lets creators edit Shorts with professional tools, effects, and AI-powered features through the Adobe Premiere Mobile app, completely free of cost.
Edit and Publish YouTube Shorts Using Adobe Premiere
A new “Edit in Adobe Premiere” button will soon appear in the YouTube Shorts creation section. Selecting this option will open Adobe Premiere in a dedicated “Create for YouTube Shorts” mode. In this mode, users can produce vertical videos using templates tailored specifically for Shorts. They can also apply ready-made transitions, text animations, and effects with ease.
Moreover, Adobe’s Firefly AI tool enables quick AI-driven editing, including background changes and color adjustments. With just one tap, creators can publish their videos as YouTube Shorts directly from Premiere. Initially, this feature will be available for iPhone users.
Essentially, creators now gain access to studio-quality mobile editing tools. Similar to TikTok’s CapCut and Instagram’s Reel editing features, YouTube now offers direct Adobe Premiere integration for mobile editing.
Additionally, at the MAX 2025 event, Adobe introduced several new AI upgrades for its creative suite. Adobe Firefly now supports custom models trainable with just 6–12 images. The update also includes layered image editing with higher-resolution output, along with new tools to generate soundtracks and voiceovers within Firefly.
Finally, Adobe Photoshop users can now access third-party AI models from platforms like Google and Flux for the Generative Fill feature. On Photoshop Web, a new AI chatbot assistant allows users to edit images through conversational commands.
