You Can Now Use Gemini Without A Google Account

Google is clearly committed to promoting Gemini, its AI assistant. A notable limitation since its launch was the requirement of a Google account to use it, but that has changed.

As of today, visiting the Gemini website will take you directly to the chat window without needing to sign in. You can now use Gemini to summarize information or compose music without logging in.

However, when signed out, your chat history won’t be saved, and you won’t have access to features like image generation or attachments. Google provides three identical sign-in prompts for those features. You will also be limited to the Gemini 2.0 Flash model, as other models remain inaccessible.

I find the incognito option quite interesting, allowing you to discreetly seek help without others knowing. You can use it in an incognito window and close it after finishing your tasks. Still, to access advanced features, signing in is necessary.

Note that the ability to use Gemini without a Google account is only available on the web, not on Android or iOS. Therefore, the options in the signed-out version are quite limited.

What do you think? Will this be useful for you, or do you see it as unnecessary? Let us know in the comments!
