Redmi Note 15 Series India Arrival Could Be Later Than You Think

The Redmi Note 15 series India launch might be postponed to next year.

Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to introduce its next-generation mid-range lineup — the Redmi Note 15 series — in India. However, according to a new report, the launch may experience a slight delay.

Redmi Note 15 series might skip India launch this year

An exclusive report by Smartprix, in collaboration with tipster Yogesh Brar, suggests that the Redmi Note 15, Note 15 Pro, and Note 15 Pro+ could debut in India in January 2026. If accurate, this move would break Xiaomi’s usual pattern of launching a new “Note” series annually. For instance, the Redmi Note 14 lineup made its Indian debut on December 9, 2024, marking over a year’s gap before the next generation arrives.

Additionally, since the Redmi Note 15 lineup was launched in China in August 2025, a January 2026 India launch would mean a delay of about five months. Rumors of Xiaomi scaling down operations in India have been circulating for a while, and this delay might be connected to those reports.

In terms of specifications, most details are already known from the China launch. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ stands as the flagship variant, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and featuring a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP telephoto lens. It also houses a 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro, on the other hand, runs on the Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor and includes dual rear cameras, led by a 50 MP main sensor, along with 45W fast charging. Both Pro models come with a 6.83-inch micro-curved AMOLED display, offering 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 3,200 nits peak brightness. They also boast IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings.

Meanwhile, the standard Redmi Note 15 is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and a smaller 5,800mAh battery. Its 6.77-inch display offers Full HD+ resolution but retains the 120 Hz refresh rate. Durability is slightly reduced, with only an IP66 rating. While it shares the 50 MP primary camera with the Note 15 Pro, it features a downgraded 2 MP depth sensor as the secondary camera.

If the Redmi Note 15 series is indeed planned for a January 2026 launch in India, Xiaomi could start teasing the lineup by December 2025.
