Airtel continues its streak of offerings, following up the Netflix bundle plan with a fresh prepaid plan for mobile users that features a Hotstar subscription. Priced at Rs 869, this new plan is valid for 84 days.
This latest mobile plan is geared towards OTT services, offering customers a 3-month Disney+ Hotstar subscription. However, it’s worth noting that the included subscription tier is optimized for mobile usage, restricting viewing to smartphones only. Additionally, the subscription is limited to a single device, prohibiting access to Disney+ Hotstar on other platforms like TVs or PCs. Airtel initiated the introduction of such plans earlier this year.
The plan offers a generous daily data quota of 2GB/day, ensuring sufficient data for usage. Upon exhausting this data limit, users will experience reduced speeds of 64Kbps until the quota resets. Airtel’s new Rs 869 prepaid plan includes additional benefits such as access to Wynk Music & Hello Tunes, a RewardsMini subscription, and a 3-month subscription to Apollo 24/7 Circle. Spanning 84 days, this plan complements the telecom provider’s range of OTT-focused prepaid mobile plans.
It’s noteworthy that Airtel also provides a slightly cheaper alternative. The Rs 839 plan, offering a similar 2GB/day for 84 days, lacks Disney+ Hotstar but provides access to Airtel XStream Play, unlocking various OTT platforms.
