Almost two years have passed since the highly anticipated reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6. Despite ongoing rumors, excitement grew as Rockstar Games had not shared any official details since the initial trailer. On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Rockstar Games officially released GTA 6 Trailer 2, confirming the game’s release date. Here’s the latest trailer for GTA 6:
In the new trailer, we get the name reveal of the male protagonist in GTA 6. While Grand Theft Auto Trailer 1 gave us a brief glimpse of Vice City and Lucia, this one dives deeper into Jason’s character and his relationship with the iconic female protagonist.
GTA 6 Release Date Unveiled
Over the weekend, Rockstar officially announced the GTA 6 release date, which comes with a delay. GTA 6 will now now set to launch on May 26, 2026. Rockstar Games has also confirmed that it will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch.
The first GTA 6 trailer offered a glimpse of the new Vice City, with subtle hints suggesting it is based on the Leonida state. We were also introduced to Lucia, the female protagonist, in the trailer. Additionally, the trailer teased various gameplay elements, including the use of social media, dynamic weather changes, wildlife, and features reminiscent of the GTA 5 nightclub system.
