Is Last Epoch Heading to Xbox and PS5?
After a five-year stint in early access, Eleventh Hour Games’ title was officially launched on February 21st. However, at the moment of writing, there’s still no official confirmation regarding the availability of Last Epoch on Xbox and PS5.
Palworld debuted on Xbox from day one, but its release on PS5 and PS4 didn’t occur simultaneously. In contrast, Last Epoch hasn’t been launched on any console, including Xbox and PlayStation, at present. However, there’s reason for optimism, as the development team has recently addressed this matter in discussions over the past few months.
In a Reddit post from seven months ago, Judd Cobler, the CEO of Eleventh Hour Games, addressed a question about console versions by stating:
“……. Our priority is to ensure that the PC production and live ops pipeline is well established and running smoothly. However, we have always believed that we will eventually come to console. Not at 1.0 though.”
With the arrival of the 1.0 version, the community naturally anticipated a console launch for Last Epoch in February. However, it appears that the “Very likely” scenario mentioned by the developers is still a bit distant. In a separate Reddit post, when questioned about the console version, developers for EHG on Reddit also stated, “Not much has changed regarding a console release.”
For now, it appears Eleventh Hour Games may prioritize gathering feedback and reception from PC players before venturing onto other platforms. Consequently, there’s currently no estimated time of arrival for Last Epoch on consoles. Similarly, there’s no information regarding whether Last Epoch will join the Xbox Game Pass. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the Xbox and PS5 versions, fans eagerly await any potential announcements before 2025.
