Black Ops 6 Leak Suggests Wall-Running And Jetpacks Could Make A Comeback

Rumors about Call of Duty 2025 have been circulating for months, with the latest leak coming directly from Black Ops 6’s game files. The new installment is rumored to be a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 and may include remastered maps from the 2012 original. Additionally, leaked information suggests that wall-running and jetpack mechanics could make a comeback.

Black Ops 6 introduced a major evolution in player movement with its ‘Omnimovement’ system, enabling fluid diving, sprinting, and jumping in any direction for unprecedented agility.

For the upcoming Call of Duty, expected to be Black Ops 7, Treyarch might bring back the popular wall-running and jetpack features seen in previous games like Black Ops 3, Advanced Warfare, and Infinite Warfare

Data miners recently uncovered references to wall-running within Black Ops 6’s game files, sparking a wave of videos showcasing the mechanic on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok. These clips offer clear evidence of wall-running in BO6. Additionally, an X user named @kivikou shared a video highlighting the return of the jetpack mechanic, including a screenshot showing its mention in the code.

It remains uncertain whether these features are simply being tested for Black Ops 7 or if they’ll be activated in BO6 itself. Functionality-wise, both wall-running and jetpacks appear similar to their previous iterations. As with their initial release in 2014, these clips have reignited debates around the jetpack’s place in the game.

It’s well known that when Call of Duty first introduced the jetpack mechanic in Advanced Warfare, many players were frustrated. They felt it created a steep skill gap in movement, making the game less accessible for casual gamers. With the recent leaks, those same concerns have resurfaced. We’ll have to wait and see how fans react if the mechanic does make a comeback.

Are you excited to see the jetpack return in Black Ops 7 We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
