The next Galaxy Unpacked event is just around the corner, and excitement is building for what’s in store. While the Galaxy S25 series is expected to take center stage, the event promises much more than just the latest flagship smartphones. From cutting-edge tech innovations to potential surprises, here’s a rundown of everything you can anticipate from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
The Galaxy S25 series is set to steal the spotlight at the event, featuring three new models: the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. One of the standout upgrades in these devices is the processor, with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powering the lineup (as evidenced by impressive benchmarks). Additionally, the series is expected to see subtle refinements across the board, particularly around the camera lenses.
In terms of design, the phones are rumored to adopt a curvier aesthetic, making them more comfortable to hold. The standard S25 and S25 Plus might also be slightly thinner, though their display sizes are likely to remain consistent with the S24 series. As for battery capacity and charging speeds, both are expected to stay the same as the previous generation, maintaining a balance between performance and efficiency.
The S25 and S25 Plus will sport a triple camera setup with a 50 MP wide, 10 MP 3x telephoto, and 12 MP ultrawide lenses. In contrast, the S25 Ultra is set to feature a 200 MP main camera, complemented by a 50 MP ultrawide, a 10 MP 3x telephoto, and a 50 MP periscope camera offering 5x optical zoom.
All models are expected to include 120Hz Dynamic 2X AMOLED displays, USB 3 Type-C ports, and One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box.
One UI 7
Speaking of Android 15, the launch of One UI 7 faced some delays this year. As a result, Samsung plans to unveil the full stable version during Galaxy Unpacked. While we’ve already detailed the highlights in our One UI 7 features list, here’s a quick overview of what to expect if you haven’t had the chance to try out the beta.
One UI 7 brings a fresh look with completely redesigned stock icons, a revamped quick settings panel, and smoother animations. It also introduces several new features, including the Now Bar, Now Brief, a vertical app drawer, and an enhanced camera app experience.
Additionally, many of One UI 7’s features are centered around Galaxy AI. Samsung has been making significant strides in AI integration, delivering a range of practical tools. The upcoming Galaxy AI enhancements are expected to further elevate the user experience, giving users even more reasons to choose a Samsung device.
Galaxy AI
One of the standout Galaxy AI features in the stable release of One UI 7 is Call Transcripts, which supports over 20 languages. As the name implies, the on-device large language model (LLM) will transcribe and record your calls, making it easy to access and review conversations directly from the Dialer app.
In addition, One UI 7 will introduce AI-powered tools designed to assist with writing, summarizing, and comparing content. Another exciting AI development on the horizon is deeper integration with Gemini. Recent leaks suggest that Samsung devices could see enhanced Gemini functionality, including support for Samsung apps. One of the apps expected to benefit from this integration is Samsung Notes, further expanding its capabilities.
Sneak Peek Into Future Devices
As with every Galaxy Unpacked event, we anticipate Samsung will offer a glimpse into what’s on the horizon. There are three devices in particular that we’re eagerly looking forward to in the future, and they are:
Galaxy Ring 2
The Galaxy Ring felt very much like a first-generation product, falling short in areas such as accuracy and battery life, not to mention its high price tag. Samsung is likely aiming to address these shortcomings with the Galaxy Ring 2, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the company announces the next iteration at Galaxy Unpacked 2025.
Galaxy S25 Slim
The Galaxy S25 Slim is another highly anticipated device, positioned as a competitor to the rumored iPhone 17 Air/Slim, which is also expected to launch around the same time. The S25 Slim is said to share a similar form factor to the S25 Plus but in a significantly slimmer chassis, making it more comfortable to hold—at least on paper.
Rumors suggest it will pack the same 4,000 mAh battery as the Galaxy S25 Plus, paired with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and an identical camera setup. The device is expected to be priced competitively, slotting in between the standard S25 and S25 Plus, making it an appealing option for those seeking a sleek, high-performance smartphone.
Project Moohan
Samsung and Google believe the future lies in XR (Extended Reality) and are collaborating on an innovative XR headset. Project Moohan is the result of this partnership, and we anticipate Samsung will offer a sneak peek at the hardware and its real-world design during the event. So far, we’ve only seen official renders, but they already look impressive.
The headset is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 chipset and run on the Android XR operating system. While the device is rumored to launch later this year, this event could provide our first real look at what’s in store.
And that’s everything you need to know and can expect from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. While the Galaxy S25 series is undoubtedly exciting, we’re particularly eager to see One UI 7 and Project Moohan in action. What are you most looking forward to at Galaxy Unpacked 2025?
