Spotify Premium Individual: $11.99 per month
The Individual Plan offers one Premium account with benefits such as ad-free listening, high-quality music streaming, offline playback, unlimited track skips, and exclusive features like AI Playlist and Jams.
This plan is ideal for solo listeners and includes podcasts and up to 15 hours of access to Spotify’s extensive audiobook library.
Spotify Premium Duo: $16.99 per month
Premium Duo includes all the perks of the Individual plan plus an additional account, giving you two Premium accounts at a discounted price, saving you nearly seven dollars. Spotify will also create a Duo playlist with songs both of you enjoy.
However, you must verify that you share the same address. You can still access your accounts if apart for a while, but the accounts will be canceled if you live separately. This plan is ideal for couples moving in together, roommates, or siblings.
Spotify Premium Family: $19.99 per month
Premium Family is the best value-for-money plan if you live with family or have more than three roommates. For $19.99 per month, you get 6 Premium accounts with all the benefits. Like Duo, Spotify also creates a Family mix playlist based on the songs you and your family enjoy.
It also includes access to the Spotify Kids app, with kid-friendly tracks and parental control over explicit content. Each kid’s account uses one of the six slots in this plan. As with Duo, all accounts must share the same address.
Spotify Premium Student: $5.99 per month
The Premium Student plan offers the same benefits as the Individual plan but at a lower price. Plus, it includes free subscriptions to Hulu and Showtime.
To claim this plan, you must be a US citizen, 18 or older, and enrolled in an accredited college or university. Check out our separate guide on how to get the Spotify student discount.
The Premium Student plan lasts up to four years. After this period, you can either cancel the subscription or it will automatically switch to the Individual plan. Your songs and playlists will be saved in either case.
Spotify Audiobooks Access: $9.99 per month
The Audiobook Access is not a Premium plan but provides 15 hours of access to Spotify’s audiobook catalog along with the ad-supported free tier of Spotify. Its only benefit is access to audiobooks, making it less cost-effective than the Premium plan, which offers audiobooks plus all other Premium features for just a few dollars more.
