In the ongoing conflict against the Terminids and Automatons in Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Studios recognizes the necessity for more than mere determination to succeed. To address this, the masterminds at Super Earth have unveiled a new Warbond named “Cutting Edge,” which brings a compelling array of experimental weaponry and armor into play. Let’s delve into the details below.
The Cutting Edge Warbond introduces three distinct armor sets within the Experimental EX lines. These include the rubber-insulated EX-03 Prototype 3, the EX-16 Prototype 16, and the EX-00 Prototype X. Each armor set possesses a rugged aesthetic, and from visual cues, they appear to be categorized as light, medium, and heavy armors.
Additionally, the Warbond provides access to three fresh weapons. These include the LAS-16 Sickle laser rifle, the SG-80 Punisher Plasma shotgun, and the ARC-12 Blitzer shockgun. But the offerings don’t stop there; players will also receive a LAS-7 Dagger laser-based handgun and a G-23 Stun grenade.
Based on the entirety of the kit, it’s apparent that the new Warbond for Helldivers 2 leans heavily towards combatting Automatons. Many of the weapons included in the upcoming battle pass possess attributes specifically effective against rogue robot adversaries. Nevertheless, as the ongoing battle on Tien Kwan persists in liberating the mechs, this new Warbond is poised to provide a significant advantage on the battlefield.
Announced via the official PS Blog, the new Warbond is set to release for both PS5 and PC versions of Helldivers on March 14. Similar to previous iterations, players can acquire it using Super Credit. Notably, Arrowhead Studios has assured that this Warbond will not have an expiration date, alleviating any fear of missing out and allowing players to make their purchase decisions without pressure.
