One of the biggest perks of a YouTube Premium subscription is skipping the endless stream of ads that clutter the platform. But what if you could share that ad-free experience with friends who haven’t made the jump yet? YouTube is now testing a new Share feature that lets Premium users do just that.

According to Android Police, YouTube Premium subscribers may soon see a Share ad-free option when tapping the Share button on a video. This will generate a special link that allows their friends to watch the entire video without encountering a single ad.

This isn’t just a one-time perk your friends can watch the same ad-free video up to 10 times. Additionally, you can share up to 10 ad-free video links per month. The feature works with most videos on the platform, except for music videos, Shorts, YouTube Originals, movies, and TV shows.

Currently, the Share ad-free option is available to a limited number of YouTube Premium users in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. A wider rollout is expected in the future.

There’s also no limit to how many people can watch a video through the shared ad-free link. So, if you drop an hour-long video in a group chat, all your friends can enjoy it without interruptions.

This new feature is a clever way to let others experience the perks of ad-free viewing, giving them a taste of what they’re missing. However, it also reinforces the reality that YouTube has no plans to ease up on ads anytime soon. What are your thoughts on this feature? Would you use it? Let us know in the comments!
