Microsoft has introduced a new AI agent within the Windows Settings app, enabling users to resolve PC issues with just one click. The feature is currently rolling out to Snapdragon-based Copilot+ PCs via the Windows 11 Insider Beta channel, with support for AMD and Intel Copilot+ PCs expected to follow soon.
The AI agent in Windows Settings runs on an on-device model that interprets your intent and takes action once you give permission. For example, if your mouse pointer feels too small, you can simply describe the issue in the Settings search bar. The AI will recognize the problem and provide a one-click solution to adjust it for you.
Likewise, if you type something like “how to control my PC by voice,” the AI agent will guide you with the appropriate steps. With this addition, Microsoft is steering Windows 11 toward becoming an agent-driven operating system. Alongside this, the company has also introduced several new AI-powered features for Windows 11.
If you’re using a Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PC, switch to the Beta channel and install Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.3964 (KB5058496), which is based on version 24H2. To enable the AI agent in Windows Settings, set up ViVeTool and run the command shared by Windows insider @phantomofearth.
vivetool /enable /id:53427769,57244651
You can also run the above command on the Dev channel (26200.5600), and it works without issues. Just make sure your device’s primary language is set to English, as that’s required to activate the AI agent in Windows 11.
