The Genshin Impact 4.8 Livestream just wrapped up, and as expected, we received a second Natlan teaser. This teaser introduced three new characters and several enemy types. Additionally, we got a closer look at Natlan’s new “mount-style” travel mechanic, featuring characters riding specific monsters across the region. If you missed the second Natlan teaser, here are the key details revealed.
Three New Natlan Characters
The Natlan teaser prominently features the introduction of three new characters. The first is a little girl with light gray hair in ponytails and blue eyes, initially seen riding a drill-shaped monster. Based on old Natlan leaks, she most closely matches Iasen’s description.
The teaser introduces a girl with red eyes and white or silver twin-tailed hair, dressed in thigh-high boots, shorts, and a sleeveless, high-collared top in blue, white, and gold. She is seen fishing and later riding a shark-like monster over water. This character is likely the recently leaked Hydro character from Natlan.
The final character featured in the Natlan teaser is a striking dark-haired boy with green eyes and a teal headband. He wears a black inner shirt and a teal protective bodysuit with hanging sleeves. He wields a Claymore and utilizes the new grappling mechanic introduced in the first trailer.
New Enemy Types, Saurians (Mounts?), and Additional Areas in Natlan
In addition to the three new characters, we glimpsed various enemy types in Natlan, with the characters clashing against them at the end. We also saw more Saurians serving as mounts and explored Natlan’s diverse terrain.
First, we observed a new city situated amidst multiple cliffs, adorned with blue banners and featuring a central massive flame that seems to power the city, complemented by a hot air balloon at the top.
We also saw several new Natlan saurians, some of which can be used as mounts. One was a weasel-like saurian with brown and red fur, but it’s unclear whether this is an enemy type or simply one of Natlan’s wildlife.
The two mountable saurians, resembling a drill machine and a shark, are either special mounts or character skills for Natlan characters. The drill machine can cause explosions, navigate the ground, and climb cliffs, while the shark serves as a surfboard capable of traveling on both land and water.
The teaser introduced three new humanoid enemies from Natlan: a large brute with a chainsaw attached to a long pole and two average-sized humans armed with clubs. All three wore spiked helmets.
That’s a summary of our observations from the second Natlan teaser. We’d love to hear your thoughts on it, so feel free to share any insights or details we might have overlooked in the comments.
