Samsung’s 2025 Foldable Lineup May Feature Four Devices, Including A Triple-Fold Model

Samsung was a pioneer in foldable phones, but recently, their devices have fallen behind. The Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 were among the most refined models the company has released, yet they couldn’t outperform Huawei’s triple-folding Mate XT. However, 2025 could mark Samsung’s resurgence in the foldable market with four new devices, including a tri-fold model.

According to a video from The Elec, Samsung plans to launch four new Galaxy Z phones in 2025. This lineup will feature the expected Z Flip 7 and Fold 7, along with the much-anticipated Z Flip FE. The fourth device will be the triple-folding phone.

Samsung’s Triple Folding Phone

The launch of these devices is still months away, typically around Q3, so details are limited. The phone will feature a 9.9 or 10-inch display when fully unfolded and will use a G-style mechanism, folding onto itself like a diary, unlike the Huawei Mate XT. This design keeps all displays protected inside, enhancing security, but raises questions about a potential fourth external display. The device is expected to be quite thick, around 15mm. According to The Elec, Samsung plans to produce only 200,000 units of this experimental model, with production starting in Q2 for a Q3 release.

What About Other Foldables?

In addition to the triple-fold model, The Elec reports that Samsung aims to slim down their regular Fold. To compete with Chinese manufacturers releasing ultra-thin foldables, Samsung is redesigning the Z Fold to be thinner than the already slim 10.6mm Fold 6 special edition.
