Samsung Expands One UI 6.0 Beta Program to Include India

Samsung recently unveiled its One UI 6.0 beta update based on Android 14, initially limited to select regions. However, the South Korean tech giant is now broadening the availability of the One UI 6.0 beta program, making it accessible to more countries, including India. Here are the key details of this expansion.

One UI 6.0 Beta Update Arrives in India

The One UI 6.0 beta update is being rolled out to users of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra models in India, as well as in the UK, Poland, and China. If you own any of these Samsung phones, you can find the beta program banner within the Samsung Member app. If you don’t have the app, simply download it to participate.

After registering for the beta program, you can access the Software Settings to initiate the update on your device. If you haven’t received it immediately, exercise patience, as it should become available soon.

The One UI 6.0 update, based on Android 14, introduces several notable changes, including a redesigned Quick Panel and various UI enhancements for the home screen. The Samsung Health app has undergone improvements for its home screen, and there’s a new Studio app for video editing. Camera functionality has been enhanced with the option to disable the swipe-up-and-down gesture for camera activation.

Additionally, users will enjoy a new Weather widget, enhanced media sharing with picture and video previews, and an array of new emojis. Notably, the update also incorporates multiple security and privacy features, in line with Android 14’s elements.

It’s worth noting that this is a beta update, so expect some bugs and issues. If you opt to download One UI 6.0, be prepared for potential hiccups. We anticipate the beta program to expand to more regions and devices, eventually leading to the release of a stable version. Stay tuned for further updates.
