This could be the first smartphone in India to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Recently, Realme unveiled its GT 8 series in China, comprising the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro models. The brand has now officially confirmed that these smartphones will launch in India in November 2025.
Realme GT 8 series is set to debut in India next month

The Realme GT 8 Pro microsite is now active on both the Realme India website and Flipkart. The brand also shared the announcement through its official X account.
As of now, the exact launch date remains unconfirmed. However, based on Francis Wong’s X post from last month, the Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to become India’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
With the OnePlus 15 India launch taking place on November 13, 2025, the Realme GT 8 lineup might be introduced between November 1 and November 12, 2025. Yet, according to tipster @heyitsyogesh, the Realme GT 8 Pro could launch in India on November 20, 2025.
Until official confirmation arrives, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt. Nonetheless, Realme is expected to reveal the final date in the coming days.
In terms of specifications, the Realme GT 8 series recently made its China debut, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. These will also be the first Realme phones in India to run on Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16.

Additionally, both devices offer a modular camera deco design, adding a stylish touch. The GT 8 Pro stands out with its 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, delivering 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom.
Other specifications include a 7,000mAh battery, a 6.79-inch 1.5K 144Hz 10-bit AMOLED display, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and more.
