Realme GT 8 And GT 8 Pro Finally Get A Launch Date

The Realme GT 8 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and will debut as the first smartphones running Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0.

Following Vivo and Oppo, it’s now Realme’s turn to step into the 2025 flagship race. While the GT 8 lineup was already rumoured to debut later this month, the brand has officially confirmed the launch date.

Realme GT 8 Pro will be unveiled next week as the first smartphone featuring a Ricoh-branded camera setup.

The Realme GT 8 series will officially launch in China on October 21, 2025, during a dedicated event at 3:00 PM CST (12:30 PM IST).

A major highlight this year is Realme’s first-ever imaging collaboration with Ricoh. The GT 8 Pro will be the first phone from this partnership, featuring Ricoh GR series’ signature colour tuning.

Additionally, at the Image Strategic Cooperation event, the company confirmed the Realme GT 8 Pro Ricoh GR Mode, offering quick startup, a GR IV-style shutter sound, a Snap mode for instant shots, and a Viewfinder Mode for better composition focus.

Beyond that, the GT 8 Pro will include custom Ricoh-calibrated lenses that promise higher transparency, reduced distortion, and improved anti-glare results. The device is also expected to feature a swappable camera module design, allowing users to customize the camera look and shape.

Under the hood, the Realme GT 8 Pro will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Although the chipset for the standard GT 8 hasn’t been officially confirmed, Geekbench listings suggest it will feature the 2024 Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Furthermore, the GT 8 Pro is expected to pack a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 periscope telephoto lens, a 7,300mAh battery, and a 6.8-inch 2K 144Hz LTPO OLED panel.

Since the official unveiling is just a week away, more details about both models will be revealed soon. Also, the Realme UI 7 launch in China is scheduled for this month, meaning the Android 16-based skin will likely debut alongside the GT 8 lineup.
