PlayStation India’s Hero Project title Mukti, developed by underDogs Studio, has just unveiled its first gameplay trailer. This marks the debut gameplay look at the upcoming first-person narrative adventure game, set to launch on PS5 and PC. Set in mid-2000s India, the story follows Arya, a young woman on a quest to find her missing grandfather inside a mysterious, privately owned museum.

Created under Sony India’s Hero Project initiative, Mukti brings a rare Indian narrative to the global spotlight. Before diving into the game’s key features, here’s a look at the newly released gameplay trailer for Mukti:

Mukti Is a Narrative Adventure Made in India

As mentioned earlier, the gameplay trailer takes us on a journey with Arya through a haunting first-person narrative adventure. As players navigate the eerie corridors of the museum, they’ll uncover chilling secrets tied to human trafficking, unraveling a gripping mystery grounded in real-world issues.

However, much of what lies ahead remains shrouded in mystery we’ll have to wait for the full story to unfold. To deliver a truly immersive experience set in a mysterious Indian backdrop, Mukti takes full advantage of the PS5 and PS5 Pro hardware, offering rich 4K environments and intense, atmospheric sequences.

Mukti also takes advantage of PS5-exclusive features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller, enhancing the depth of puzzle-solving and exploration. On PC, the game will include full controller support, Steam achievements, and family sharing options. Developed by underDOGS Studio founded by industry veteran Vaibhav Chavan—the team has collaborated closely with Sony to deliver an emotionally rich and immersive experience.

You can wishlist Mukti now on both PS5 and Steam. With its bold narrative, culturally rich setting, and backing from Sony, Mukti is shaping up to be a must-play adventure that highlights the growth of Indian game development.
