Latest Pixel 9 Series Leak Unveils All Details Except Pricing

Google seems unable to contain the constant leaks surrounding its upcoming Pixel 9 series. Last week, the company preemptively unveiled the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold, likely to counteract leaks and maintain excitement. As anticipated, we now have a detailed view of the Pixel 9 series, showcasing its exclusive features.

Steve H McFly, also known as OnLeaks, in collaboration with 91Mobiles, has shared the full launch posters for the Pixel 9 series. These posters reveal key specifications and software features, such as color variants, new software additions, box contents, a specs table, Gemini, and a free one-year Gemini Advanced membership.

Pixel 9 Pro Specs

The Pixel 9 series will be powered by the Tensor G4 processor, with the Pro and XL variants featuring 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch Super Actua displays, respectively. All models will come with 16GB of RAM.

The rear camera setup on the Pro models features a 50 MP wide lens, a 48 MP ultrawide lens, and a 48 MP telephoto lens, while the front camera is a 42 MP unit. The Pro will be offered in four matte colors: Pink, Hazel, Black, and Porcelain.

Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold Specs

The standard Pixel 9 features two rear cameras: a 50 MP wide lens and a 48 MP ultrawide lens. Unfortunately, the front camera is a 10.5 MP unit, rather than the 42 MP found on the Pro models.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will feature the same RAM capacity as the Pixel 9 Pro. It features a 6.3-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner display. The front camera is a 10 MP unit, while the rear camera setup includes a 48 MP wide lens, a 10.5 MP ultrawide lens, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens.

Unfortunately, the Pixel 9 series box still does not include a charger; it only comes with a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C cable. Note that the Pixel 9 supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 and display output, so the absence of a USB 3.0 cable is disappointing. It would have been preferable if Google had included a USB 3.0 cable.

Google also highlights the “game-changing Google Tensor G4” and promises a “24-hour battery” life. Additionally, the Pixel 9 series will receive 7 years of security patches and feature updates, similar to the Pixel 8 series.

Software Features

The posters reveal that Google is heavily investing in Gemini and Circle to Search, along with introducing a new feature called Pixel Screenshots. This feature allows you to save information for future reference, such as places, events, or other details you might need later.

Additionally, Google is anticipated to announce satellite connectivity for the Pixel 9. Although the poster does not explicitly mention satellite connectivity, the inclusion of crisis alerts and emergency SOS features suggests that an announcement regarding satellite connectivity may come on August 13.

The poster also highlights how Pixel devices help prevent scams, phishing, and malware, referencing the new safety features Google introduced last month.

Finally, Google will provide Gemini Advanced access to users of the Pixel 9 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold. However, the Pixel 9 is not included in this offer, as noted in the terms at the bottom of the poster.

Pixel Portfolio

The final poster displays all the latest devices in the Pixel lineup, including what appears to be the Pixel Buds Pro 2.

While the external design of the Buds Pro 2 is expected to remain unchanged, the earbuds are rumored to feature a slightly altered design for a better fit. The poster also features the Pixel Watch 3 XL.
