Slated to be priced below Rs 55,000, the Reno 15 Pro Max is expected to combine high-end hardware with the more accessible pricing typical of the Reno lineup. It is said to feature the same processor as the Oppo Find X8.
Oppo appears ready to take a significant step forward with its upcoming Reno series. The new Reno 15 Pro Max is rumored to push further into flagship territory, offering a standout camera system, a large battery, and enhanced features.
Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max Aims to Stand Out in the Mid-Range Segment
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max is shaping up to be more than just another mid-range smartphone. According to a new report by Smartprix, in collaboration with tipster Yogesh Brar, the device is expected to differentiate itself from the competition.
The upcoming Reno 15 lineup is rumored to feature three models: Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Max. This will mark Oppo’s first use of the “Pro Max” label, seemingly taking inspiration from Apple and, more recently, Xiaomi with its 17 Pro Max.
Reports suggest that Oppo aims to deliver flagship-level performance and camera capabilities while maintaining competitive pricing. The Reno 15 Pro Max is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, the same processor found in the Oppo Find X8.

On the front, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max is rumored to sport a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz LTPO refresh rate. The most significant upgrade, however, seems to be in the camera setup. The device is expected to feature a 200 MP Samsung HP5 primary rear sensor, complemented by a 50 MP telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it may include a 50 MP front-facing camera.
The report also hints at the return of Oppo’s proprietary Lumo imaging engine, first introduced with the Reno 14 Pro. This suggests that computational photography and advanced color processing could remain a major focus for the smartphone.
Powering the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max is expected to be a sizable 6,500mAh battery. The device is also rumored to feature Wi-Fi 7, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and NFC support. On the software side, it is likely to run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. For context, ColorOS 16 is set to launch on October 15, 2025, giving users a glimpse of how it will enhance the upcoming Reno 15 series.
Additionally, the report suggests that Oppo plans to price the Reno 15 Pro Max under ₹55,000 in India, aiming to make it a compelling choice in its segment. The Reno 15 series is expected to be unveiled in China later this year, with a global launch anticipated in early 2026.
