Oppo Find X9 Series Launches With Dimensity 9500 And 200 MP Periscope Lens

The Oppo Find X9 lineup, including the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, debuts with a new Hasselblad Camera Kit for the first time.

After months of teasers and announcements, the Oppo Find X9 series is now official. The devices were introduced at a dedicated event in China and are the first to run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Here’s everything new about the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro.

Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro Launch in China with Refreshed Design and Powerful Hardware

The most notable change is the updated design. Oppo has applied cold sculpting technology to the back glass, moving away from the circular camera layout of the Find X8 series to a minimal squircle-shaped camera module in the top-left corner. This section blends with the velvet sanded back glass, creating a seamless and polished look.

Under the hood, both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, making the Find X9 series the second set of devices with the 2025 3nm flagship octa-core chipset. Oppo claims a 33% performance improvement and 55% better efficiency compared to the Dimensity 9400, ensuring top-tier performance.

Both phones also feature vapor chamber cooling for effective thermal management. Oppo states the new devices provide at least 15% better frame-rate consistency and temperature control compared to the previous generation.

On the software side, the Find X9 series is the first to ship with ColorOS 16 on Android 16, offering features like a redesigned home and lock screen, dynamic transparent clocks, refreshed icons, and Trinity Engine. New AI tools such as AI Portrait Glow and Master Cut, along with cross-ecosystem connectivity via O+ Connect, are also included.

The display technology remains premium. Both models use Tianma OLED panels with SLOD architecture for energy efficiency and longevity. Using LIPO technology, Oppo reduced bezels to just 1.10mm. The screens feature 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz LTPO refresh rate, 3,600 nits peak brightness, and Oppo Crystal Shield Glass protection. The Find X9 has a 6.59-inch display, while the Pro sports a 6.78-inch panel.

Battery capacities have also increased. The Find X9 packs a 7,025mAh battery, and the Pro model comes with 7,500mAh, a significant improvement over the previous series. Both support 80W fast USB-C charging and 50W wireless charging.

Other features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, infrared sensor, triple IP dust/water resistance (IP66 + IP68 + IP69), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, dual SIM 5G, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.

Find X9 Pro Features a 200 MP Periscope Camera

Oppo’s Find X series has always emphasized high-end photography, and the Find X9 continues this tradition. Both phones include a triple rear camera setup in collaboration with Hasselblad and a custom Danxia Color Restoration lens for accurate image reproduction.

The Find X9 Pro is the highlight, featuring a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor with a periscope telephoto lens, offering up to 6x in-sensor zoom. It also includes a 50 MP Sony LYT-828 main camera, 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP front-facing selfie camera.

The standard Find X9 has a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide camera and a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 main camera. Its periscope lens is 50 MP LYT-600, while the front camera is 32 MP, slightly lower than the Pro.

Pricing starts at 4,399 Chinese Yuan (≈ Rs 54,000) for the Find X9 12GB + 256GB, and the Find X9 Pro starts at 5,299 Chinese Yuan (≈ Rs 65,500) for the same memory configuration. The series also offers multiple color options.

The Oppo Find X9 Hasselblad Camera Kit is priced at 1,699 Chinese Yuan (≈ Rs 21,000), including a 3.28x Teleconverter lens, magnetic grip holder, magnetic ring light, and other accessories.
