It could become the first foldable smartphone to feature Qualcomm’s top-tier chipset.
Oppo has built a solid reputation in the foldable phone market. From the very first Oppo Find to the 2025 Find N5, the company has consistently delivered premium book-style foldables. Now, reports suggest the brand will continue this momentum in 2026 with the upcoming Find N6.
Oppo Find N6 looks to claim the “world’s first” title with an “Elite” upgrade
According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, Oppo is developing the Find N6 foldable smartphone equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This isn’t too surprising, as the Find N5 was powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Therefore, it’s reasonable to assume that Oppo will once again equip its new foldable with flagship-level hardware.

The intriguing detail here is the potential release timeline. The Find N5 launched in February 2025, making Oppo the first brand to use Qualcomm’s newest processor in a foldable device. If the Find N6 follows a similar schedule—which seems likely—it might once again secure the title of the first foldable phone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
That said, this information hasn’t been confirmed officially and remains speculative for now. DCS also claims that the Find N6 will feature an approximately 8.1-inch internal folding display and a 6.6-inch external screen—dimensions nearly identical to those of the Find N5.

Additionally, the leak hints at a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size and a 50 MP 3x periscope telephoto lens. Details about the third lens are yet to be revealed, but it’s expected to also carry a 50 MP resolution.
Beyond that, DCS suggests that the Find N6 will retain the slim and lightweight profile of its predecessor, the Find N5, which measured just 4.21mm when unfolded and weighed under 230 grams. Users can also expect typical premium features like a customizable AI button, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and more.
As this is the first mention of the Find N6, specific details are still limited. However, more information is expected to emerge as the launch date approaches.
