OnePlus has introduced a lifetime screen warranty in response to the ‘green line’ display problem that some users have faced on their OnePlus smartphones. The issue, common to OLED displays, has prompted the company to offer Indian users a solution for affected models. Here are the key details.

Report from Android Authority reveal that OnePlus will provide a lifetime screen warranty for smartphones exhibiting the ‘green line‘ issue on their displays. Currently, this warranty is applicable to users in India.

For devices impacted by the problem, OnePlus will provide a complimentary screen replacement. Users with affected older models, including OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9R, will receive a voucher valued up to Rs 25,500. This voucher will facilitate an easy exchange for a new OnePlus device. The information was initially shared by a Telegram users known as ‘@atharvak5‘ ‘@docnok63.’ Furthermore, if the affected device is exchanged for the India-exclusive OnePlus 10R, an extra bonus is offered.

According to OnePlus’ official statement “We acknowledge the inconvenience caused to affected users and extend our apologies. Aligning with our strong commitment, we encourage users to visit the nearest OnePlus service center for device assessment. We will offer free screen replacement for all devices affected by this issue. Additionally, for selected OnePlus 8 and 9 Series devices, we are providing a voucher that enables users to upgrade to a new OnePlus device at a fair percentage of the device’s value. Considering the current scenario, we are introducing a lifetime screen warranty for all impacted devices. We appreciate your understanding and support.
