The upcoming Motorola Edge 70 seems to be a rebranded variant of the Moto X70 Air, which was recently launched in China.
Motorola is gearing up to join the ultra-thin smartphone race with its new Edge 70 model on the global stage. Although the official launch is still a few weeks away, multiple leaks and rumours have already disclosed most of its details. Now, newly surfaced renders provide another look at the design and key features of the device.
Motorola’s first smartphone under 6mm thickness is almost here
Dutch tech outlet Nieuwe Mobiel has shared what appears to be the official product listing images of the Motorola Edge 70. These renders reveal the phone’s front and rear design, along with several highlighted specifications.

As previously reported, the Edge 70 will measure just 5.99mm in thickness, making it the thinnest mainstream smartphone, even slimmer than the iPhone Air (5.64mm) and Galaxy S25 Edge (5.95mm). The device also remains light at 159 grams.
In addition to its slim frame, the Edge 70 also stands out for its battery performance. It packs a 4,800mAh battery, offering around 1,500mAh more capacity than the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge. The phone supports 68W USB-C fast charging, maintaining Motorola’s reputation for rapid power delivery.

The smartphone will feature a 50MP primary camera, Moto AI enhancements, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It will be launched in Lily Pad and Gadget Grey colour options.
Those familiar with Motorola’s recent releases will notice that the Edge 70 mirrors the Moto X70 Air, launched earlier in China. Therefore, it is expected to share nearly identical specifications, including:
- 6.7-inch 1.5K 120Hz pOLED display
- Gorilla Glass 7i protection
- Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset
- Hello UI based on Android 16
- 4,800mAh battery with 68W charging
- 50MP main and 50MP ultra-wide cameras
- 50MP selfie camera
The Motorola Edge 70 will officially debut on November 5, 2025, globally. By then, all details about Motorola’s new ultra-slim smartphone will be revealed. The Indian launch is expected by late 2025 or early 2026.
