Microsoft Extends Bing Chat Support to All Google Chrome Users

The progress of AI might be moving at a somewhat gradual pace, but it’s certainly not stagnant. Among the significant unveilings this year, Microsoft’s announcement of Bing Chat stood out, an upgraded combination of a search engine and chatbot loaded with a variety of features. Historically, Bing has been closely tied to Microsoft’s Edge browser. However, in a bid to expand its reach, the company revealed about a month ago that Bing Chat would soon extend its compatibility to Google Chrome and Safari. Fast forward to today, and that prediction has become a reality. In its latest update, Microsoft has introduced Bing AI Chat to all users of Google Chrome. Here are the specifics of this development.

Bing Chat by Microsoft Now Available on Google Chrome

Microsoft Bing Chat has made its way to Google Chrome, marking a significant shift. Previously, users had to resort to various workarounds to access Bing Chat from different browsers. However, this situation has evolved. In a recent official blog post, Microsoft announced the implementation of this live update. This indicates a noteworthy transformation, as Microsoft Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise are now fully compatible with the Google Chrome browser.

However, please note that this change is currently applicable to the Stable channel update, encompassing all supported platforms such as Windows, Mac, and Linux. It’s important to highlight that this update is limited to the desktop version of Google Chrome. For instance, our team is utilizing Google Chrome version 116.0.5845.110 and has successfully gained access to this feature. Additionally, support for other desktop and mobile browsers is in the pipeline.

Availability of Microsoft Bing AI in Google Chrome

As previously mentioned, users can now conveniently utilize Microsoft Bing Chat within their Google Chrome desktop browser. In addition to this rollout, there are several other noteworthy updates. These include the introduction of Bing Chat Enterprise on Edge Mobile, expanded accessibility to Bing Chat on Swiftkey, and the introduction of new Bing search page templates.
