On the newly launched Pokémon theme page on LEGO’s website, the company teases the upcoming sets, stating: “Electrify your imagination in 2026 and get ready to build something we’ve never built with LEGO® bricks before!” This announcement follows a teaser reveal on the official Pokémon X (Twitter) account, confirming the exciting collaboration.
The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International have officially announced a multi-year partnership, marking the beginning of an exciting era for fans of both franchises. As part of this collaboration, it looks like LEGO Pokémon will be the first buildable set to launch in 2026 but it won’t be the only one.
Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer of the LEGO Group, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating: “We are thrilled to be working with a brand that has such a deep and passionate fanbase as Pokémon, partnering to give our joint audiences what they have been asking us for.”
“We strongly believe that through the endless possibilities of LEGO play and the exciting adventures the world of Pokémon brings, this partnership will create a range of new possibilities for Trainers and builders alike.”
Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, also shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming launch, stating: “We cannot wait to see both LEGO fans and the Pokémon community’s reactions in 2026.”
While this marks Pokémon’s first official LEGO collaboration, it’s not the franchise’s first foray into buildable toys. Pokémon has previously partnered with Mattel’s Mega Bloks and Mega Construx lines. However, LEGO’s dominance in the brick-building world is set to take Pokémon to new heights.
Thanks to LEGO’s strong partnership with Nintendo, this licensing deal likely came together smoothly. With LEGO already producing sets for Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing, it was only a matter of time before Pokémon joined the mix.
