When it comes to value-driven budget Android smartphones in India, Lava remains a well-known name. The company has quietly introduced its latest handset, the Lava Shark 2, in the country. However, it isn’t listed on any e-commerce platforms yet. Here’s everything you need to know about Lava’s newest budget offering.
Lava Shark 2 to be sold exclusively offline in India
Speaking of the Shark 2’s hardware, it doesn’t offer any major upgrades compared to the Lava Shark launched in March 2025. It features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 1200 Hz refresh rate and a notch design, making it decent for entertainment use.
Powering the device is the Unisoc T7250 chipset, a common processor in this segment. It pairs with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, with the option to expand RAM virtually by another 4 GB. The smartphone comes pre-installed with Android 15 straight out of the box.
For photography, the device houses a 50 MP primary camera for everyday clicks and an 8 MP front camera for selfies. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via a USB-C port.
In addition, the smartphone includes all essential features such as an IP64 rating, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB-C connectivity.
Lava Shark 2 now available for purchase
The Lava Shark 2 is priced at Rs 7,500 in India for the 4 GB + 64 GB configuration. Buyers can also avail an instant bank discount of Rs 750, bringing the effective cost to around Rs 6,750. The smartphone will be available exclusively through Lava-authorised retail outlets and comes in Black and Silver colour options.
