Lava has begun teasing its next smartphone for the Indian market — the Lava Shark 2. The company’s latest teaser hints at impressive camera capabilities and a refined design inspired by its predecessor.
In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), Lava unveiled an image of the upcoming device, carrying the tagline “Clarity that kills the noise.” The teaser also highlights the phone’s 50MP AI triple camera setup. Reports suggest the handset might feature a teardrop notch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The teaser image reveals a rear camera module that bears resemblance to the older iPhone Pro series. The camera island features 50MP AI camera branding alongside an LED flash, emphasizing Lava’s focus on enhanced photography.
Although the teaser doesn’t display the front design of the Shark 2, it’s likely to retain similarities to the first-generation Lava Shark, which debuted in May 2025. Expected design cues include a teardrop-style notch and a metallic-finish frame, giving the device a sleek and premium look.

Lava has officially announced that the upcoming Shark 2 will be available in Blue and Silver shades. Beyond that, the company has kept most of the smartphone’s features under wraps, with no confirmation yet regarding its exact launch date.
That said, the Shark 2 is expected to bring minor upgrades over the Lava Shark 5G, offering improved hardware and performance. Early reports suggest the device might sport a 120Hz HD+ IPS LCD display, a 5,000mAh battery, and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
Considering Lava has already begun teasing the phone, the Shark 2 could make its official debut by late October 2025. More details surrounding its specifications and pricing are likely to surface in the coming weeks — so stay tuned for further updates.
