Introducing Xiaomi Pad 6 Max: A 14″ Display Powerhouse with SD 8+ Gen 1; Alongside Smart Band 8 Pro Unveiled

Xiaomi’s latest announcements brought forth some exciting additions to their tech lineup. CEO Lei Jun first unveiled their newest foldable smartphone, followed by their largest tablet to date, the Pad 6 Max, and the latest iteration of their smart band.

Xiaomi Pad 6 Max: Specs and Features

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max boasts an impressive 14 inch display, significantly larger than its 11 inch predecessor, the Pad 6 Pro. This high-quality screen offers a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800px, with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The tablet’s versatility caters to both work and play, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and eight speakers with Dolby Atmos support for an immersive gaming and streaming experience. The tablet is calibrated for color accuracy, making it suitable for tasks like photo editing.

The powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset drives its performance, with configurations ranging from 8/256GB to an impressive 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage. A robust 10,000mAh battery ensures extended usage, and quick charging capabilities further enhance its convenience.

The tablet even functions as a power bank with reverse charging. Its array of features also includes a 20MP front-facing camera, 4-microphone setup, and a 50MP rear camera.

Additionally, Xiaomi introduced a stylus and keyboard case as optional accessories for the tablet. The stylus offers a low latency of 5ms for a smooth writing and drawing experience and can serve as a virtual laser pointer for presentations.

The slim metal body of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, measuring just 6.53mm thick and weighing 750g, comes in elegant Black and Silver variants. While the tablet is initially available in China, global release details are yet to be announced.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro: Specs and Features

Xiaomi’s latest smart band, the Smart Band 8 Pro, brings several enhancements. With a larger 1.74 inch display and improved resolution, the band offers sharper visuals and increased brightness. The device boasts a 5ATM water resistance rating and a built-in GPS receiver for outdoor workouts.

Heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO2) sensors have also been upgraded for more accurate readings. The band’s battery life has been extended to up to 14 days, making it ideal for extended use.

Xiaomi offers customization options with 100 watch faces and a variety of strap choices. The band includes NFC capabilities, though international availability may vary.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, available with a silicone or leather strap, provides users with enhanced functionality and a sleek design. The pricing starts at CNY 400 for the silicone strap variant and goes up to CNY 450 for the leather strap option.

Extra straps can be purchased separately, with prices ranging from CNY 40 to CNY 200 for the Milanese option. The band is another exciting addition to Xiaomi’s growing range of tech innovations.
