Huawei Nova Flip S May Feature An Updated Kirin Processor

Huawei’s upcoming clamshell foldable, the Nova Flip S, might be equipped with a new Kirin chipset. Reports suggest it could use the Kirin 8030, which appears to be a slightly enhanced version of the Kirin 8020 found in the Nova 14 Ultra. New leaks about the device’s specifications indicate that this upper mid-range processor will drive the Flip S, offering improved performance ahead of its official launch.

Huawei Nova Flip S Specs May See Minor Upgrades Over Predecessor

A Weibo user, Superdimensional, suggests that Huawei could equip the upcoming Nova Flip S with the new Kirin 8030 chipset. Since it’s a brand-new processor, official information regarding its CPU and GPU specifications is limited.

The Kirin 8030 is expected to be a modest upgrade over the Kirin 8020 found in the Nova 14 Ultra. Anticipated specifications include a single prime core running at 2.29GHz, three performance cores at 2.05GHz, and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.30GHz. While the core configuration is likely to remain unchanged, the clock speeds may be slightly higher on the 8030.

Additional leaks indicate that the Nova Flip S could maintain the same design as its predecessor. The device is rumored to feature 12 GB of RAM and offer storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

The Nova Flip S is expected to be available in six color options: White, Sakura Pink, Sky Blue, Starry Black, Sand Black, and New Green. Reports also indicate that the device could come preloaded with Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS 5.1.

While the official launch date for the Nova Flip S has not been confirmed, the recent leaks suggest that it may be unveiled soon. We’ll continue monitoring the developments and share updates as more information becomes available.
