The upcoming lineup is expected to consist of the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro smartphones.
After several teasers, Honor has officially announced the launch date for the Magic 8 series. The new smartphones will be revealed on October 15, 2025, at an event in Shenzhen, China. The launch will stream live from 7:00 PM CST (4:30 PM IST).

Although the brand hasn’t shared detailed specifications for either device, it confirmed that the Honor Magic 8 Pro will run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The company has not yet disclosed which processor will power the standard Magic 8.
That said, it is expected to either come equipped with the 2024 Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chipset or possibly be the first smartphone to debut the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform.

The upcoming Honor Magic 8 series is expected to focus heavily on AI and will include a dedicated physical button.
Both devices are set to be Honor’s first “AI self-evolving” smartphones, featuring a new quick-access key for AI functions, similar to the approach used in the Nothing Phone 3 and OnePlus 13s. They will leverage Honor’s MagicGUI multimodal AI to enable advanced on-device AI features.
In terms of specifications, the phones are likely to come with a 1.5K 120 Hz LTPO OLED display, run on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, and sport a triple 50 MP rear camera setup, among other features.

At the Snapdragon Summit 2025, the Magic 8 Pro was highlighted for its design. The device features a circular camera module positioned centrally, with the Honor logo placed at the bottom.
The phone adopts a flat design and places all physical buttons on the right side. Along the bottom edge, it includes the speaker grille, USB-C port, SIM tray, and secondary microphone. Available color variants are Rising Sun Golden Sands, Azure Blue, Snowy White, and Velvet Black.

This year, the spotlight is clearly on the Magic 8 Pro. Further details about the standard Magic 8 will be revealed once both models officially launch in China. The event will also introduce MagicOS 10, Honor’s upcoming software update. In addition, the MagicPad 3 Pro, Earbuds Pro, and Watch5 Pro are all confirmed to debut at the same time.
