So far, Google’s Gemini has replaced the standard voice assistant on Android phones with a powerful AI alternative. Now, at the Android Show: I/O Edition, Google revealed plans to expand Gemini’s presence to more devices including WearOS, Android Auto, Google TV, and Android XR.

We had already seen hints about Gemini coming to Wear OS, and now it’s officially confirmed. According to Google’s blog post, this integration will let you chat with Gemini directly from your watch, set reminders, and check messages all without having to pull out your phone.

Google also highlighted how Gemini integration in Android Auto will elevate your hands-free voice command experience. You’ll be able to give instructions in natural language, and Gemini will respond with the most helpful answers. For example, “Gemini can find you a charging station on the way to the post office that’s also near a park, so you can take a walk before running errands while your car charges.”

Or you can ask it to “give me today’s news rundown (but skip sports),” or “get a quick summary of the book I just finished—or didn’t have time to finish on my way to the book club meetup.” Gemini will handle all this without you ever taking your hands off the wheel.

Gemini is also coming to Google TV, where you can ask for personalized recommendations for TV shows and movies. For example, you might say, “Action movies that are age-appropriate for my kids.” Gemini can even serve as a learning guide, answering curious questions in a friendly and engaging way.

Finally, Gemini will be at the heart of the upcoming Android XR headset, developed in collaboration with Samsung. According to Google’s blog post, “Gemini can assist you in planning a vacation by surrounding you with videos, maps, and local tips, creating a complete itinerary in minutes while giving you a more immersive feel of the place you’re exploring.”
