Normally priced at ₹35,100 per user, this offer allows eligible users to access it at no additional cost. Google and Jio unite to rival Airtel–Perplexity partnership
Following Airtel’s partnership with Perplexity, Jio has teamed up with Google to provide users with a free Gemini AI Pro plan. This offer grants access to Gemini’s latest 2.5 Pro model, expanded cloud storage, and additional premium tools.
Here’s everything included in the free Gemini AI Pro plan:

- 2 TB of cloud storage shared across Google services
- Veo 3.1 video generation tool
- NotebookLM
- AI-powered Google Workspace integration
- Gemini Nano Banana for generating or editing images
Additionally, users gain access to creative and productivity tools such as Flow for video creation, Whisk, Jules, Gemini CLI, Code Assist, and more features that may be introduced later.
This partnership extends beyond individual users. Reliance and Google Cloud are also working together to improve access to advanced AI hardware accelerators across India. This will help companies train and deploy large language models (LLMs), with Reliance becoming a major distributor of Gemini Enterprise solutions for businesses.
The initiative also appears to be a strategic response to OpenAI’s recent announcement of free ChatGPT Go access in India starting November 4, 2025. By acting early, Google aims to attract users toward Gemini’s Pro models, encouraging them to stick with its ecosystem even before they try OpenAI’s offering.
Steps to redeem Gemini AI Pro for Jio users
Redeeming the offer is simple and works whether or not you’ve previously used Gemini AI Pro. If you already have a Google One subscription, your plan will automatically switch to Gemini AI Pro (non-refundable). Before proceeding, note the following conditions:
- The offer is available only for Jio users aged 18–25.
- Users must have an active unlimited 5G plan. If not, they need to purchase one to claim the offer.
- The 5G plan must remain active throughout the 18-month period to retain Gemini access.
- The offer will later roll out to all Jio users, though the exact date is not yet confirmed.
To redeem your free Gemini AI Pro plan:
- Open the MyJio app (download it from the Play Store if needed) and log in using your Jio number.
- Tap on the Gemini AI Pro banner and select Claim Now.
- Sign in with your Google account when prompted.
- If already logged in, simply tap Redeem to activate your subscription.
- For Google One users, choose Switch plan to replace your current subscription.
- You’ll then receive a confirmation message indicating you are now a Google AI Pro member.
