With the rollout of Gemini Live, Google appears to be shifting its focus toward aesthetics. Reports indicate that the company is developing a more compact Gemini overlay that occupies less than half the space of its predecessor. A recent discovery reveals a new Gemini overlay featuring effects reminiscent of Apple’s Siri interface.
According to Android Authority, this compact Gemini overlay will soon display pink and purple glows similar to the colorful effects seen around the edges of an iPhone when activating Siri. The subtle pink and purple effect will circle clockwise around the microphone icon, creating an appealing visual. While the compact overlay is being rolled out to users, the glow effects are still undergoing testing in Google Apps Beta version 15.49.40.sa.arm64.
Though the changes are modest, the new animation is expected to launch in a few weeks. Additionally, Google is working on a new AI mode feature for the Google app, including a button in the search widget for easy access. Another recent update to Gemini allows multiple actions to be performed simultaneously on Android.
