CES 2025: L’Oréal’s New Beauty Tech Removes Guesswork From Skincare

L’Oréal, one of the world’s leading beauty and skincare brands, has a history of delivering exceptional products. At CES 2025, the company unveiled its latest innovation: the L’Oréal Cell BioPrint. This cutting-edge device analyzes your skin and provides personalized treatments and ingredient recommendations to combat the signs of aging.

Developed in collaboration with NanoEntek, Cell BioPrint addresses the challenge of trial-and-error skincare. By tailoring its recommendations to your unique skin profile, it eliminates the guesswork of finding products or ingredients that suit you best. With its personalized approach, the device ensures skincare solutions are as unique as your skin itself.

The process involves applying a face strip, dipping it into a buffer solution, and placing it into a cartridge analyzed by the Cell BioPrint machine. The device photographs your face and asks questions about your skin concerns. Based on the diagnosis of your protein structure, L’Oréal will provide personalized recommendations and identify unsuitable ingredients.

While the process might sound complex, it’s surprisingly quick taking no more than five minutes. Users can retake tests periodically to track changes in their skin over time. However, there’s no confirmed timeline for when the L’Oréal Cell BioPrint will be widely available. L’Oréal has announced plans for a pilot run in Asia but has not yet disclosed details about the device’s pricing or broader availability.

Cell BioPrint seems almost too good to be true, and its claims can only be validated by independent testing. The device aims to eliminate the confusion of finding suitable products for your skin, but it may just be a proof of concept. Only time will tell.
