All Vyse’s Abilities in Valorant Explained

Valorant’s 26th agent, Vyse, is on the way to your game. Before you master her powers of roses and vice, it’s crucial to understand all her abilities. This guide will break down each of Vyse’s abilities in Valorant. Let’s dive right in and explore what Vyse can do.

All Abilities of Valorant Vyse

Razorvine (C)

Vyse can deploy a nest of liquid metal that resembles a tangle of brambles. After being thrown to a designated spot, it becomes invisible, much like a Killjoy nanoswarm. However, unlike the nanoswarm, it first activates a slowing effect before detonating.

Once triggered, the nest transforms into an extended razorvine. Enemies who pass through the affected area are slowed and damaged. Vyse can purchase and use two of these per round, making it an ideal trap ability for the newest sentinel in Valorant.

Shear (Q)

Like other sentinels, Vyse also has a block-the-enemies ability. Shear is a wall-based trap that Vyse can place on any surface. When an enemy triggers this trap, a wall appears behind them, which can play a crucial role in Vyse’s toolkit in Valorant.

In the initial teaser for Vyse, a wall was shown, sparking curiosity about how it differs from Sage’s wall. Unlike Sage’s wall, Vyse’s wall is indestructible and can immediately separate enemies as soon as they cross it. The wall disappears after a certain duration.

ArcRose (E)

For the first time, a sentinel agent has a flash ability – Vyse’s signature skill is indeed a flash. Vyse can equip a rose and attach it to a target surface. Once it sticks, it becomes invisible, similar to Cypher’s Spycam. You can also use ALT fire to place it through the surface to the opposite side.

After placement, you can reactivate the ability to flash any enemies facing the rose for a short period. Additionally, you can pick up the rose and redeploy it elsewhere, much like Cypher’s Spycam or Killjoy’s Turret.

Steel Garden (X)

Vyse’s ultimate, showcased towards the end of her reveal trailer, involves throwing a liquid metal bramble to a targeted location. This creates a maze of metal thorn brambles in the area. After a short delay, the brambles erupt, impacting any enemies within range.

The erupted brambles impose a vice grip on the enemies’ primary weapons, forcing them to switch to their secondary weapons for a brief period. However, this effect does not impact their movement, status, or abilities. So, having a strong secondary weapon could be advantageous.

And that’s all you should know about Vyse’s abilities, Valorant’s newest sentinel agent, who will be arriving later this week. What are your thoughts on her ability kit? Do you think she’ll bring a fresh perspective to playing sentinels? Share your thoughts in the comments.
