Gameplay Gets a Makeover in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0
The “Ways to Play” trailer offers a comprehensive look at the upcoming features in Cyberpunk 2077’s update 2.0. The highlight is the introduction of a fresh skill tree named Relic. This skill tree opens up a range of potent abilities, enabling players to explore new playstyles and craft personalized builds. Exclusive to the Phantom Liberty expansion, this update also ushers in a new region known as Dogtown, along with fresh weapons and vehicles.
Beyond the new skill tree, Cyberpunk 2077’s update 2.0 undertakes extensive system enhancements. Players can expect new perks that provide impactful gameplay choices and a revamped enemy AI, enhancing each encounter’s dynamism and responsiveness. Notably, a new Police AI system is introduced to address a long-standing concern. Police behavior in Night City now aligns better with their role, as they set up roadblocks, engage in ramming tactics, and even deploy a tactical unit known as Max-Tac.
The update also brings about redesigned skill trees and an improved vehicle combat experience. In the revamped vehicle chases, players can engage enemies through netrunning or classic shootouts, offering diverse strategies for taking down pursuers. Notably, a major revelation is that Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 will encompass previous-generation gaming systems, as well as the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
