Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, discussed the future of the TON cryptocurrency at the Token2049 conference in Dubai. He explained that starting April 19, Telegram channel admins will begin accepting TON payments for advertising, and next week, users can tip administrators in TON, allowing content creators to earn a share of the income.

Users will be able to buy and sell stickers as NFTs in TON, with artists receiving 95% of the proceeds. Telegram will also introduce mini-apps for purchasing content with crypto, and users can share TON with contacts within chats.
Pavel Durov, Telegram founder, said, “If someone owned that sticker as an NFT when it was released years ago, its value likely increased with time. Stickers remain extremely popular.”
