According to reports from SamMobile, Samsung is diligently preparing for its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which typically takes place in July or August. This year is no exception, and the event is anticipated to occur around the same time frame.
Sources suggest that the next Unpacked event could be scheduled for July 10 in Paris. Notably, this date aligns with the 2024 Summer Olympics, where Samsung holds a significant sponsorship role.
Among the key highlights expected at the event are Samsung’s latest foldable devices. It’s speculated that the lineup will include the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, along with the introduction of the Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Galaxy Ring.
There’s speculation that Samsung might unveil a range of AI features expected to integrate into One UI in the near future. Rumors also suggest a potential deepened collaboration with Google to introduce more exclusive Android features, such as Circle to Search.
Regarding hardware specifics, reports indicate that Samsung plans to release the Z Flip 6 with exclusively an Exynos 2400 variant, forgoing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 option. While the current-gen Exynos boasts improvements over its predecessor, it’s perceived as not matching the performance of its Snapdragon counterpart.
Although details about the Z Fold 6 have been scarce, leaked renders from about a month ago hinted at minor alterations compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It’s speculated that the primary change could be the system-on-chip (SoC), while other specifications might remain consistent.
As for the Galaxy Watch 7, there are murmurs of a potential rectangular dial option, providing users with more variety in design. Additionally, Samsung’s teased Galaxy Ring, first hinted at during the last Unpacked event, could finally make its debut.
