The upcoming entry-level Redmi phone is expected to debut in India at under Rs 15,000.
In September 2025, Redmi introduced its 15C smartphone in the European market. Now, India appears to be the next destination for the device. The smartphone has reportedly undergone a major leak, revealing its specifications, storage options and expected prices for the Indian market.
Redmi 15C is positioned as an affordable battery-focused device
Tipster Abhishek Yadav shared the India-related details of the Redmi 15C on X. As per his post, the brand’s next budget handset will begin at Rs 12,499 for the 4 GB + 128 GB variant.
It will also be offered in 6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 128 GB options. The 6 GB model is expected to cost Rs 13,999, while the 8 GB version may be priced at Rs 14,999. Speaking of the phone’s hardware, since the European variant launched only a few months ago, the Indian model will likely feature nearly identical specifications.
For example, the device is anticipated to include a 6,000mAh battery and the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It may come with a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD screen, featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate, and is likely to run Android 15-based HyperOS 2 right out of the box.
Additionally, the Indian Redmi 15C is expected to offer the following features:
- 50 MP primary camera
- 8 MP front camera
- 33W USB-C fast charging
- IP64 certification
- 3.5mm audio jack
However, Redmi has not yet officially begun promoting the 15C in India. Therefore, it’s best to consider these details as early leaks. More accurate information will be shared once official announcements surface.
