Instagram Reels Adds Song Lyrics
Adam Mosseri made the announcement through the IG Updates Instagram channel. When you’re in the process of creating and editing a Reel, you’ll find the option to incorporate lyrics into your chosen song. By clicking on the music icon, you can pick the song you want to use.
A simple swipe to the left will reveal the lyrics, enhancing the user-friendliness of your Reels. This feature allows people to easily follow along with the lyrics of popular songs, making the experience even more enjoyable. For those who previously had to manually insert song lyrics into their Reels, this will be a welcome relief.
This feature complements the ability to add text to Reels, which is especially convenient when viewing Reels without sound. For those unfamiliar with it, this feature is already available in Instagram Stories. When adding music to a Story, you can opt to include lyrics or select from various music player styles if lyrics are not needed.
This feature has begun rolling out and should soon be available to all users on Android and iOS.
