Microsoft Tests Native Copilot App For Windows 10 And 11 Users

Microsoft is updating the Copilot app for Windows Insiders with a new “Native” app and a shortcut for both Windows 10 and 11. The rollout of version 1.24112.123.0 will replace the Microsoft Copilot PWA with this native app, which users can access via the Alt + Space keyboard shortcut.

While Microsoft acknowledges that other apps may use the same shortcut, it will prioritize the app that launched first. Although the Native app incorporates some web elements, its layout is designed to provide a more native experience. Notably, the app and shortcut will also be available on Windows 10.

The new Copilot Quick View offers a smoother experience compared to its predecessor, and with the introduction of companion apps in the taskbar, these updates aim to enhance the overall user experience.
