Sony has kicked off its 30th anniversary celebrations, and it appears the company may have just confirmed the design leaks for the PS5 Pro. In the latest PS Blog post celebrating the milestone, a subtle hint of the PS5 Pro’s design has emerged.
The anniversary image reveals both PS5 models. On the right, the standard PS5 is shown with its signature single strip down the middle. However, the image behind the PS logo has raised eyebrows. It bears a strong resemblance to the PS5 Pro design that was leaked last week.
The image appears to feature three strips down the middle, closely resembling the PS5 Pro design leak with three black stripes. While there’s no official confirmation that this is the final design, the original PS5 also appears in the same anniversary image.
Sony has also posted a similar image on Instagram Stories. While the resolution differs, the intent remains the same. Positioned above the “30th” text, the Instagram Story showcases the rumored PS5 Pro design. The post is captioned with “Your first look,” linking viewers to the image.
Previous leaks suggest that an announcement for the PS5 Pro is anticipated in the first half of September. Did Sony intentionally tease the PS5 Pro design, or is there another explanation?
What’s clear is that the PS5 Pro is on the way, with developers already working on enhanced versions of games for the new console. Reports also suggest that games released after September 16th will support PS5 Pro enhancements, indicating that the highly anticipated console is approaching.
