Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro Now Supports 2 Million Token Context Window

During Google I/O 2024, the tech giant unveiled its plan to scale up the Gemini 1.5 Pro model to support up to 2 million tokens, a significant expansion in context length. This enhanced model will be accessible to developers through a private preview, with Google aiming to achieve infinite context capabilities.

Additionally, Google has enhanced the Gemini 1.5 Pro model in several areas, including translation, dialogue, code, reasoning, and writing. The improved model, featuring a 1 million context window, is now globally available to all developers.

For consumers, Google has officially released the enhanced Gemini 1.5 Pro model with a 1 million context window on Gemini Advanced. This version is no longer in preview, and subscribers to Gemini Advanced can now benefit from its extensive context and native multimodal capabilities, currently offered in 35 languages.

A few months ago, I tested Gemini 1.5 Pro, and it delivered exceptional performance. It’s the first AI model to offer consumers such an extensive context length. You can upload various types of content, including images, videos, audio clips, files, documents, code repositories, and more, and Gemini 1.5 Pro can handle them all smoothly, without any issues.
