Lenovo has just introduced its latest addition to the Tab series in India – the Lenovo Tab P12. This mid-range tablet offers some exciting features, including Android 13, JBL-powered speakers, and more, all for a price tag of under Rs 35,000. It succeeds the Tab 11, which received a 5G variant earlier this year. Let’s dive into the details.
Lenovo Tab P12: Specifications and Features
The Tab P12 sports a 12.7-inch LCD display, but it’s worth noting that it supports a 60Hz refresh rate. This might be a bit disappointing considering that tablets like the Xiaomi Pad 6 and OnePlus Pad offer up to a 144Hz refresh rate. However, it does have a fast 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset, paired with a generous 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. What’s even better is that you can expand the storage by up to 1TB using a memory card. The tablet is equipped with a substantial 10,200mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging.
In the camera department, you’ll find an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and a 13MP ultra-wide selfie shooter with fixed focus and an RGB sensor. Audio enthusiasts will appreciate the quad-speaker setup backed by JBL, offering support for Dolby Atmos. Running on Android 13, the Tab P12 is set to receive 2 years of major updates and 4 years of security patches.
Additional features include a USB Type-C port for charging, a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, compatibility with a ThinkPad-inspired keyboard featuring a built-in trackpad, and more. Notably, it comes with the Tab Pen Plus, which allows you to use it as a drawing pad for Windows PCs using Lenovo Freestyle. Plus, you can take advantage of the split-screen feature for improved multitasking.
Price and Availability
The Lenovo Tab P12 comes with a price tag of Rs 34,999 and will be available for purchase on Flipkart and the Lenovo Store, starting from September 5. You can choose from two color options – Storm Grey or Oat.
