Samsung has teased the upcoming arrival of a next-generation copilot for Windows 11.

Recently, Samsung debuted the Galaxy Book4 series laptops featuring Intel Core Ultra processors. Coincidentally, a new Snapdragon X Elite benchmark appeared on Geekbench, hinting at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Book4 Edge laptop. Now, on the official product pages, Samsung has unveiled the next-generation Copilot for Windows 11. It appears this advanced Copilot will offer enhanced integration with your Android phone.

The Galaxy Book4 series product page now includes infographics showcasing Windows Copilot and its enhanced capabilities. The page emphasizes: “Stay on task, stay in touch with AI assistance.” The updated Copilot provides personalized AI support, summarizes messages from your Android phone, and enables direct text messaging from your PC.

Additionally, you can manage tasks on your PC, copy links from messages on your Android phone, and request Copilot to remind you about tasks or messages. Furthermore, you can instruct Copilot to copy an email address from your Android phone, compose an email using Copilot, and swiftly send it via Outlook.

These upcoming Copilot features are novel additions that haven’t been seen before. To access these new features, users will need to link their Galaxy phone. In the fine print, Samsung specifies, “Available on the Galaxy Book4 Series starting in Spring 2024.” Does this imply that the personalized AI experiences via Copilot will be exclusive to Samsung’s Galaxy Book4 series laptops?

While it remains uncertain, Microsoft is hosting an event on March 21st to unveil details about Copilot, new Surface laptops, and Windows 11. There’s speculation that Microsoft might introduce the next-generation Copilot with the mentioned features, potentially available across all Windows 11 devices. Nonetheless, the impending Copilot integration with Android is a promising enhancement, poised to enhance its utility.

We’ve frequently expressed disappointment over the lack of meaningful features in Windows Copilot, aside from its chatbot functionality, but that’s gradually changing. Microsoft is also experimenting with deeper integration into Windows 11, as evidenced by the upcoming Windows 11 24H2 version. So, brace yourself for the upcoming wave of “AI PCs” launching in the second half of 2024, featuring the Snapdragon X Elite processor.
