Xiaomi has had an exciting start to the year with several phone launches and the highly anticipated release of the SU7 and SU7 Max electric cars. The company is preparing to launch its latest flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 14 series, on a global scale at MWC 2024.
Xiaomi founder and CEO, Lei Jun, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the Xiaomi 14 series will launch globally on February 25th.
The Xiaomi 14 series consists of the Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Ultra models. While the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have already been launched in China and are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to be the highlight of the global launch. It will also feature the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and Leica optics, as teased by Xiaomi.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to feature a 2K AMOLED LTPO display, similar to the 14 Pro, along with up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, HyperOS based on Android 14, and several other flagship-level features aimed at providing an exceptional user experience.
Not much is known about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra yet, apart from a few leaked images hinting at its design. However, more leaks or official reveals from the company are expected as we get closer to the release date.
The Xiaomi 14 series has received certifications for the EU and Indian markets, along with some details about its display specifications from TUV, indicating a possible launch in India.
