OpenAI’s GPT Store is Finally Live!

After facing several delays, OpenAI has officially launched the GPT Store. As previously mentioned, OpenAI had contemplated launching the GPT Store the following week, and today, the company has delivered on that promise. Users of ChatGPT Plus now have access to a diverse range of publicly available GPTs, created by users, allowing them to engage with these models for various purposes. Here’s an initial glimpse into the GPT Store.

Explore Tailored ChatGPT Versions on the GPT Store

The GPT Store serves as a public repository for customized versions of ChatGPT, resembling an app store for GPTs. Notably, access to the GPT Store is exclusive to paid ChatGPT Plus users, enabling them to create and utilize custom GPTs from the store. The rollout of the GPT Store is currently in progress, with availability expanding gradually.

OpenAI has categorized the GPT Store into several sections, covering Writing, Research and Analysis, Programming, Education, Productivity, Lifestyle, and more.

OpenAI has introduced a range of first-party GPTs for various purposes, including Data Analyst, Creative Writing Coach, Coloring Book Hero, Game Time, genz 4 meme, The Negotiator, Tech Support Advisor, and more. Users also have the capability to create their personalized GPTs, adding extra skills, incorporating knowledge from local files, and setting customized instructions for their GPT’s behavior.

It’s important to note that GPTs are not automatically made public; users need to publish them as Public to feature them on the GPT Store for wider visibility. Additionally, the GPT Store includes a “Global View” showcasing GPTs from diverse geographies and languages.

The prospect of the GPT Store is intriguing, especially with OpenAI’s announcement that GPT creators will have the opportunity to monetize and earn based on the usage of their GPTs. However, specific details about the monetization program are yet to be disclosed. Are you excited about the GPT Store? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
